Relevance of talks with party chair Oli over, say four leaders of Nepal-Khanal group

KATHMANDU: The four leaders of Nepal-Khanal faction have written to their top leaders saying that the relevance of the taskforce formed to iron out intra-party feud has ended.

Issuing a press note central committee members Prakash Jwala, Jagannath Khatiwada, Bijaya Paudel and  Rajendra Rai have said the relevance of the taskforce was over once the party chair, who is also the incumbent Prime Minister of Nepal, took action against the top leaders of the faction.

“The relevance of the taskforce has ended once the party chair took action againt the top leaders of the Nepal-Khanal faction,” reads the press note.

The press note has further said the intra-party feud will not be resolved only by taking the party to the status of  May 16, 2018.

The leaders in the press note have argued that if the party goes anarchic deviating from the party statute, CPN-UML will not only lose the confidence of the  other parties but also end up in nowhere, ultimately.

The leaders have also touched upon the possibility of senior leaders Jhala Nath Khanal and Madhav Nepal in the upcoming 10th general convention and assurance of tickets in the parliamentary elections.
