As many as 115 houses burnt in Banke’s Narainapur



BANKE: A fire broke out in Khodwa village of Narainapur Village Municipality-4 in Nepalgunj last evening, destroying as many as 115 houses.

According to Banke Police Chief SP Om Bahadur Rana, four persons were injured in the blaze.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj, he said.

The details of the damage have yet to be ascertained.

Chief District Officer (CDO) Ram Bahadur Limbu Kurungbang said that the fire was brought under control using five fire engines from Narainapur Municipality, Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan Municipality, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police.

Security personnel, Red Cross and locals have set up tents in the area and provided shelters to the families of the victims.
