NC President Deuba pledges to move ahead by winning people’s trust



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has vowed to move forward by gaining the trust of the people.

Deuba made the pledge marking the start of NC’s 14th general convention with ward conventions beginning Friday.

“The leadership of the country has fallen again on the shoulders of the NC due to the party’s past contributions, maturity, people’s trust,” Deuba said in a video message Friday morning, adding, “I would also like to pledge to move forward by winning the trust of the people.”

Stating that internal competition within the party is the beauty of democracy, Deuba urged all to participate in the ward convention imbuing healthy competition as per the democratic process.

Deuba said that the party was engaged in the campaign to build a strong NC through the 14th General Convention and that the development of the entire country was possible only with a strong NC. He urged NC rank and file to realize the slogan of a strong NC, prosperous nation through the general convention.

He expressed confidence that the party rank and file will link the issues of every village, lead the sentiments of every tole, and take the message that a strong NC is needed to address all those issues and sentiments in every household.
