KATHMANDU: The government has decided to appoint Bal Krishna Basnet as the Chairman of the Nepal Press Council.
A cabinet meeting held on Thursday evening appointed Basnet of Dolakha as the Chairman of the Council for four years.
Basnet, a former central member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists is also an advocate.
