Three killed, one missing in separate landslides in Kaski

POKHARA: Three persons have been killed and a three-year-old boy went missing in separate landslides in the Kaski district on Wednesday night. Four others were injured.

Husband and wife were killed when a landslip caused by torrential rain buried the house of one Krishna Shrestha at Pokhara Metropolitan City-20. The deceased have been identified as Krishna, 45, and his spouse Sunmaya Tamang, 35.

Krishna’s three-year-old son, Santosh, has gone missing in the disaster and his injured eight-year-old son Raj Kumar is receiving treatment at Manipal Hospital, said Suvas Hamal, Spokesperson for the district police office, Kaski.

Likewise, a man was killed after a landslide swept away his house at Bhanjyang Namuna Tole in Pokhara-11. He died at the hospital, said the police.

Two others injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital. Similarly, three persons were injured when a landslip buried a house at Kanhu in Pokhara-11, said the police.
