Authorities enforce prohibitory orders in Makwanpur from today



HETAUDA: The District Administration Office Makawanpur has enforced prohibitory order to be effective across the district from Sunday midnight.

According to the District Administration Office Makawanpur, arrangements have been made to restrict the movement of the people except for getting health services and purchase of food stuffs and most essential goods from nearby shops and groceries.

The order will be enforced up to 12.00 midnight of May 14.

Chief District Officer Ratnamani Pandey shared that a meeting of the District Crisis Management Center recommended to impose the prohibitory order taking into consideration the people’s aspiration.

The meeting has decided to allow the operation of shops of most essential consumptive goods (food, water, milk, fish, flesh, egg, fruits and vegetables) from 5.00 am to 9.00 am and permit the pharmacy, petrol pumps, gas depot, oxygen cylinder shop and designated workshops for maintaining vehicles to remain opened on a regular basis.

The movement of vehicles except ambulance, vehicles carrying patients, food items, vegetables, milk, drinking water, petroleum products, health materials and oxygen supplies, hearse, vehicles used for waste management, animal feed carriers, agro fertilizers and seeds carriers, vehicles used for transporting industrial raw materials and readymade products, vehicles used for service delivery of security bodies, health units, media, electricity and internet will be restricted.

Likewise, CDO Pandey said the meeting decided to allow the operation of banks and financial institutions and cooperatives from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm in a way that there would be no crowd of service recipients.
