Writ filed to bar appointments and swearing in at Constitutional bodies



KATHMANDU: Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi has filed a writ petition seeking to stop the appointment and swearing-in at the constitutional bodies.

Filing his writ petition on Tuesday at the Supreme Court, Senior Advocate Tripathi has demanded restraint, extradition, mandamus and other appropriate orders in the writ.

He has sought a stay of the appointment and swearing at the constitutional bodies the Constitutional Council’s meeting of December 15 tried to fill in.

Writ petitioner Tripathi has held the President’s Office Shital Niwas, the Prime Minister and the Office of the Prime Minister, the Chairperson of the Constitutional Council and the speaker as an opponent in his writ.
