APF troop in Juba recognized as “best team” among peacekeepers

KATHMANDU: The United Nations (UN) has recognized Nepal’s Armed Police Force (APF) troop currently in South Sudan’s Juba as a part of the UN peacekeeping mission as the best team among the peacekeepers.

According to the APF, its Formed Police Unit (FPU)-1 received the highest 32 marks in an evaluation recently.

The UN has currently deployed six FPUs in South Sudan.

The APF troop in Juba has as many as 180 APF officers and personnel.
