Septuagenarian dies when co-driver pushes to get her off quickly



KHOTANG: A 72-year-old woman has died when a passenger mowed her down in Dipurang Chuichumma Rural Municipality in Khotang on Monday.

According to Khotang Police, Chandra Kumari Rai 72, died on the spot when, Na 5 Kha 9022, passenger bus smashed her at Dipurang-3, Chhorambu.

The deceased had been to the bus stop to help her daughter-in-law and grand-daughters ride the bus; the co-driver pushed her out from the bus asking to leave the bus, and she got smashed by the bus.

Police have arrested the bus driver Dal Bahadur Poudel and Co-driver Amrit Karki immediately after the incident.

Inspector Gobinda Sah, the spokesperson of Khotang Police informed that a team of police have been sent to the incidents to find details about the incidents.
