Cadres of NCP factions clash in Nuwakot; DPM Pokharel’s vehicle vandalized (with video)



KATHMANDU: A clash has broken out between two factions of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) in Nuwakot.

It is learnt that some cadres sustained injuries in the clash between NCP-Oli and Prachanda-Nepal fations.

A dispute had erupted between the two groups after Dahal-Nepal cadres obstructed Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel in front of the Nuwakot Adarsh ​​Multipurpose Camp today.

Cadres of the Oli faction had retaliated after Dahal-Nepal cadres blocked the road in an attempt to show a black flag to the Deputy Prime Minister.

Tensions were high in the streets for some time as activists of both the factions attacked each other.

Deputy Prime Minister Pokharel’s vehicle was also vandalized in the clash. A stone was pelted at at the vehicle of Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel in Nuwakot. The vehicle of Deputy Prime Minister Pokharel, who had reached Nuwakot to address the program of the Oli faction of the NCP, was vandalized.

The injured are being treated at a local hospital. Police also used force after the two sides clashed with eaach other.
