PM Oli saddened by demise of Pranab Mukherjee, says Nepal lost a great friend



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has said he is deeply saddened by the news of passing away of former President of India Pranab Mukherjee.

In a tweet on Monday evening, the Prime Minister extended heartfelt condolences to the government and people of India as well as the bereaved family members.

“In his demise, Nepal has lost a great friend. We remember his contributions in strengthening Nepal-India relations in different capacities of his public life,” PM Oli stated.

Former Indian President Mukherjee passed away at the age of 84 years today. His son Abhijit Mukherjee announced that the veteran politician was no more.
