Two Indian nationals die in Nepal fleeing home in cycle



LALITPUR: Two Indian nationals fleeing home from Lalitpur on a bicycle have died at a road accident near Bhattedanda, Lalitpur, Monday morning.

According to Mohan Kumar Bhadel, Sub-Inspector of at Regional Police Office Chhapeli, Santosh Mahato 28, and Mukesh Kumar Gupta 21 from Motihari district, had a bicycle accident at a turning at Bhattedanda, Lalitpur at 10:30 am.

“Santosh and Mukesh had fallen 50 meters and 150 meters down the street respectively,” he said.

The deceased were trying to go to India using Kanti Lokpath as an alternate route to return to their home as the country has gone in total lockdown owing to widespread coronavirus.

Suresh Kumar, Mukesh’s father and their neighbor Dina Nath Prasad who were following both informed others about the accident.

Before lockdown, they used to work at Chapagaon based garbage factory in Lalitpur.
