KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn on Thursday paid a courtesy call on Prime minister KP Oli at the latter’s official residence at Baluwatar.
During the meeting, they held discussions on enhancing economic cooperation such as trade, investments, transfer of technology, tourism and continuing EU support to Nepal, according to joint secretary Nirmal Raj Kafle.
Prime Minister Oli urged Asselborn to encourage citizens to make investments in Nepal as the environment was conducive to the country.
He emphasized co-work on uplifting Nepal from the least developed country (LDC) to a developing country and achieving sustainable development goals.
On the occasion, Foreign Minister Asselborn said they were ready to co-work with Nepal in common issues.
Luxembourg Foreign Minister Asselborn had arrived in Nepal on Wednesday morning for a two-day official visit of Nepal.
He already met with Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali on Wednesday.
Foreign minister Asselborn is returning home today.
