NRNA President assures creating employment opportunities in Nepal



KATHMANDU: President of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Kumar Panta has said his Association was dedicated to scaling up investment in Nepal to create job opportunities in a bid to support the government realized its vision of building a prosperous Nepal.

NRNA President Panta said that the government needs to utilize the broad network of the NRNA in its development efforts to make Nepal prosperous.

Panta claimed that the organization was focused to creating a conducive environment for passing skills, knowledge, technology and capital achieves onto Nepal and increasing the investment in the country.

He informed that the Lamjung-based Dordikhola Hydropower Project initiated by a group of around one thousand NRNs is expected to be completed by the next two months.

Panta told RSS that a big project on a joint venture of the government and NRNA is also in the offing.

Stating that the NRNs have created jobs in the country through the investments in banks, hospitals, hotels, and hydropower, he added that preparations are on to establish a mutual fund of Rs 10 billion in partnership with the government.
