POKHARA: A peace torch will be carried from Lumbini to Pokhara International Mountain Museum on February 3 on the occasion of the third world peace puja (worshipping).

The peace puja is taking place from February 3 to 5 in Pokhara.

The peace torch coming from Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, will be received by a Lama guru from the Chief Minister of Province no. 5 Shanker Pokharel on February 3 and will be carried to Pokhara to reach the Shakya monastery in Hemja of Pokhara the same day.

Likewise, a rally carrying the peace torch will be held in Pokhara on the same day.

The worship is being held to pray for the eternal peace of those who have died in the course of mountaineering and trekking in the country.

Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) is hosting the event with support from Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).
