Gas leakage injures five in Banepa



BANEPA: Five people were injured due a cooking gas leakage at vegetable market in Banepa municipality-7.

The fire broke out in the kitchen on the third floor of the house belonging to Ratan Kumar Shah, a local. An 18-month-old toddler, Rukesh, 26, Sophi, 24, Ayush and Anish sustained burn injuries in the fire, said police.

The injured have been referred to Kirtipur Hospital after treatment was not possible at Banepa-based Scheer Memorial Hospital. The kitchen has been totally damaged in the fire.

Police said they are investigating the case to determine cause behind the fire.
