48 Nepalis stranded in India



KAPILVASTU: Forty-eight Nepalis who reached India in search of job opportunities have been stranded at Panipat Haryana as a result of lockdown imposed by India.

They are in short of food for the past three days, said Munna Nepali of Shivaraj municipality-8.

They have demanded that the government of Nepal rescue them. They reported their hardships and requested for rescue through the Nepali government after they failed to contact their family, said Nepali.

The municipality mayor Netra Raj Adhikari said he reported predicaments facing the stranded Nepalis to the district administration office. Ward chair of the municipality-9 said the municipality would initiate their rescue.
