Police constable injured as cops, Biplav cadres exchange fire

BARDIYA: A police constable has been injured in an exchange of fire between police and cadres of the outlawed Netra Bikram Chand alias Biplav-led outfit on Tuesday.

The clash occurred at Madhuwan-4, Ghudari.

According to police, Biplav cadres opened fire at police personnel as they tried to arrest those setting ablaze a tower of Ncell.

The police constable has sustained bullet injuries in his leg and is being rushed to a hospital for treatment. An additional force has been mobilized, police said.
