Man arrested for allegedly defrauding Rs 3.7 million with promise of Canada employment



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man from Kavrepalanchok on charges of allegedly defrauding a person of Rs 3.7 million by promising to send him to Canada for employment.

The arrested has been identified as Achyut Dulal, 42, of Mandandeupur Municipality-6, Kavrepalanchok. According to police, Dulal was taken into custody from Gokarneshwor after the Department of Foreign Employment issued an arrest warrant against him.

He is accused of taking Rs 3.7 million from a victim by promising to arrange employment in Canada. Police said the arrested individual has been handed over to the Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation and legal action.
