Engineer backbone of development: CM Raut



JANAKPURDHAM: Chief Minister of State-2 Lal Babu Raut said State government was committed to the professional rights of technical employees. CM Raut said it while inaugurating the first anniversary of Nepal Engineers’ Association State-2 Chapter here Monday.

He urged the engineers to assist government in making State prosperous because they are the backbone of development. On a different note, CM Raut said some elements unwilling to embrace federalism were trying to strain the relations between the Socialist Party and Rastriya Janata Party. He urged everyone not to be swayed after baseless rumor.

In response to a query, payment system would be made transparent with the formulation of regulation after consulting legal experts. The payment system was botched up last year due to legal hurdle, he admitted.

At the program presided over by State-2 Chapter Chair of the Association, Nanda Kishor Yadav, speakers including Association’s central Chairperson Dr Triratna Bajracharya and treasurer Ram Ekbal Yadav viewed that engineers could play significant role on country’s development.
