KAVRE: Police have destroyed 2,500 liters of hooch collected from various hotels and restaurants in Banepa in the district.

A team of police led by Police Inspector Yogendra Timalsina destroyed the hooch being sold illegally on Monday night.

Acting on a tip-off that the liquor was being sold illegally in Banepa, police destroyed the hooch in the presence of people’s representatives.

Earlier, police had seized 30 mobile phone sets brought from China by evading tax at Banepa Bus Parka and Chandani Chowk.
