Woman gives birth to girl sans limbs in India

BHOPAL: A woman, 28, has delivered a girl without arms and legs in Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh in India, Indian media reports have said.

According to Dr Pramod Diwan, Sironj Block Medical Officer, it was a home delivery case.

Dr Diwan added that even though he sent an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife and an Asha worker, the parents are not willing to bring their newborn to hospital for check-up.

The baby’s father said she was born without arms and legs, and is doing well.
