Local products will be encouraged: Finance Minister Khatiwada



KATHMANDU: The government has encourage local products in the fiscal year.

Presenting the fiscal budget 2020/21, Finance Minister Dr Yubraj Khatiwada said that the government employees and national organization employees’ uniforms will also be produced through national fabric.

Likewise, one industrial gram will be established in each province.

Minister Khatiwada said that the Public Private Partnership (PPP) will be promoted to establish new industries in the country.

He said that the government will encourage production, branding and export of Nepalese tea, coffee, and herbal products.

Likewise, the government will promote exports and given subsidy to the exportable products.

He also said that the government will promote handicraft products. A SAARC hub will also be established in Kathmandu.
