KATHMANDU: A Qatar Airways’ chartered aircraft is arriving Kathmandu on Friday to take back German nationals stranded in Nepal due to the coronavirus impact.

It should be noted that the German Embassy in Kathmandu had earlier this week requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) to arrange for the withdrawal of over 800 German tourists stranded in Kathmandu, Lukla, and Pokhara.

The Government of Nepal has suspended all internationals flights until April 1 due to the spread of coronavirus cases.

However, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has permitted two flights on Friday and Saturday upon the request of the European Union, including German Embassy.
