Cabinet promotes three Lieutenant Colonels, transfers 12 Colonels



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to promote three Lieutenant Colonels of Nepal Army including Saroj Kumar Adhikari and transfer 12 Colonels including Dipesh Jung Shah.

A meeting of Cabinet held on Tuesday decided to that effect, said government spokesperson and Minister for Finance, Communications and Information Technology Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada on Thursday.

The cabinet meeting also decided to appoint Balram Rijal, joint secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, as the Executive Director of the Special Economic Zone Authority.

Minister Khatiwada said that it has been decided to give in-principle approval for the drafting of the bill related to e-business.

Similarly, the government has decided to pass the condition of technical operation process, reporting and data management of the programs sent through a conditional financial transfer at the state and local levels.

It has been decided to form a three-member delegation led by the Foreign Secretary to participate in the 21st BIMSTEC Senior Officials Meeting to be organized by Sri Lanka.
