Two workers die after brick kiln wall collapses



NEPALGUNJ: Two workers have died after a wall collapsed at the New Kisan Brick Kiln in Bhaiyapur of Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City-19, Banke.

According to police, 52-year-old Barshadi Lodh died on the spot when the wall of the brick kiln suddenly collapsed at around 11:20 am on Monday.

Another worker, 45-year-old Ram Pheran Kori, was seriously injured in the same incident. He later died while undergoing treatment at a hospital at 3:30 am on Wednesday, police said.

Following the incident, Lodh’s body was handed over to his family after a postmortem examination, while Kori’s body has been kept at the hospital for postmortem. Banke Police said further investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
