Three persons using ambulance to smuggle marijuana arrested

HETAUDA: Police on Sunday confiscated around 30.6 kg of marijuana being carried inside an ambulance in Makawanpur district.

Police, who have arrested three people, including its driver, said that the ambulance — Ba 2 Jha 1749 — belonged to a health facility of Rautahat district.

DSP Lalan Prasad Kurmi of Makawanpur Police Office said that they have arrested Ashok Kumar of Dumariya, ambulance driver Mohammed Khalid and an Indian national Binod Sahani of Motihari district of India.

Police are investigating the case.
