Indian delegate walks out of UN General Assembly hall as Pakistan PM speaks



NEW YORK: An Indian delegate walked out of the UN General Assembly Hall as Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s spoke.

Pakistani PM Imran Khan virtually addressed the 75th session of the UNGA.

Meanwhile, Indian Diplomat Mijito Vinito walked out even as PM Khan levelled personal attacks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Khan also raised the issue of Kashmir.

A video that surfaced online shows the Indian delegate leaving the UNGA hall.

Meanwhile, responding to Pakistan’s remarks, Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations, Ambassador TS Tirumurti, said there would be a “befitting reply” to the caustic anti-India statement.

He said that Pakistan PM Khan’s statement at the 75th UN General Assembly is a “new diplomatic low”.
