Govt to form nat’l network of farmers



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Agriculture Development and Livestock has decided to develop a national market network of farmers.

In a virtual meeting with the officials of Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives of all seven States today, Minister for Agriculture Development and Livestock Ghanashyam Bhusal committed to forming such a network and it would be announced in the upcoming budget.

The meeting agreed to establish such market in federal, state and local levels to facilitate the farmers to establish their own markets to sell their produces.

For the purpose, agriculture cell would be established in all 753 local levels with their homegrown modality of sales and distribution of the local products.

Minister Bhusal argued that such a network will ease to reach local products to the buyers.
