MAHOTTARI: A person died in a bus accident occurred at Patu of Bardibas municipality, Mahottari, today.

Driver’s help Baburam Bishwokarma was killed on the spot.

The bus (Ba 3 Kha 4036) was heading to Udayapur from Kathmandu by rescuing the stranded people in the lockdown.

Area police office, Bardibas, informed that another 22-year-old Pradip Bishwokarma from Dolakha received an injury in the accident. Police inspector Sonu Kumar Saha said injured Bishwokarma was receiving treatment at Shuva Swastik Hospital of Bardibas-14.

The accident occurred as the bus tilted heavily on a road bending. The driver’s help was crushed by the bus hood, the police said, adding that 35 persons originally from Chaudandi municipality of Udayapur were traveling home from Kathmandu.

The municipality had rescued them. Later, they were ensured transportation with another bus.
