Teacher arrested with automatic pistol



PARSA: Police here have arrested a teacher for possessing an automatic pistol.

Jeetendra Prasad Singh, a lecturer at Thakurram Multiple Campus, was arrested along with the illegal firearm from his house at Durgatol, Birgunj Sub-metropolitan City-11 last night.

Police raided Singh’s house and confiscated the pistol which was hidden in the safe box of the cupboard.

One magazine used in the pistol, four rounds of live bullets and a bottle of anesthetic ether were also confiscated during the raid.

Singh has been kept in the custody at the District Police Office Parsa for investigation.

Preparations are being made to file a case against him on the charge of illegal possession of arms and ammunition.
