RSP dominates PR vote count; Congress second as UML, RPP compete for third



KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has taken a clear lead in the proportional representation vote count of the House of Representatives election in Nepal.

According to the latest tally of 46,020 votes counted, the RSP has secured 26,249 votes, placing it firmly in first position.

The Nepali Congress is in second place with 8,409 votes, while the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) has received 3,660 votes.

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party has secured 3,603 votes, followed by the Nepal Communist Party with 1,196 votes and the Shram Sanskriti Party with 1,114 votes.

Among other parties, the Rastriya Parivartan Party has received 667 votes, the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party 232 votes, and the Nepal Janata Sanrakshan Party 108 votes.

Vote counting is ongoing. Early trends suggest the RSP could maintain a strong lead as the results continue to unfold.
