Buddhi Raj injured in Bardibas police firing dies



KATHMANDU: Buddhi Raj Neupane, who sustained injuries in the police firing in Baridibas, has died.

Neupane, who was airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment, breathed his last in the course of treatment at Grande International Hospital, informed SSP Kuber Kadayat, the spokesperson of the police.

Neupane, 42, from Bardibas municipality-1, had sustained a bullet injury to his leg after security personnel used force to control the demonstration staged to protest the murder-after-rape of a six-year-old girl Gulbasa Khatun.

As many as 15 police personnel sustained injuries in the clash with the demonstrators.
