Sunsari In-charge of Biplav outfit nabbed



SUNSARI: Police have arrested Roshan Rai, Sunsari district In-charge of the banned Biplav outfit with a weapon from Dharan.

Rai, 27, of Shahid Bhumi Rural Municipality-6 of Dhankuta was arrested by the police from Dharan-15 on Wednesday night.

According to DSP Gyanendra Basnet of Area Police Office Dharan, he was arrested on the basis of special information by the team of Province1 Regional Investigation Group and Area Police Office, Dharan.

A pistol and live bullets were also found hidden in plastic under the seat of his motorcycle, police said.

Police said an automatic pistol written “Made in the USA” was found under the seat of the motorcycle, a magazine and three rounds of bullets loaded on it were also seized. Police also seized two mobile phones and six SIMs from his possession.
