NRB publishes foreign currency exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 154.21 and the selling rate at Rs 154.81.

The buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 175.64 and the selling rate at Rs 176.32. One UK pound sterling is being traded at Rs 205.38 for buying and Rs 206.18 for selling, while one Swiss franc is valued at Rs 188.87 for buying and Rs 189.60 for selling.

Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one Australian dollar are Rs 107.82 and Rs 108.24, respectively. One Canadian dollar is being exchanged at Rs 109.53 for buying and Rs 109.95 for selling, while one Singapore dollar is valued at Rs 119.45 for buying and Rs 119.92 for selling.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen has been set at Rs 9.42 and the selling rate at Rs 9.46. One Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 22.77 for buying and Rs 22.86 for selling. The buying and selling rates for one Saudi Arabian riyal are Rs 41.08 and Rs 41.24, while one Qatari riyal is valued at Rs 42.30 and Rs 42.46, respectively.

Likewise, one Thai baht is being traded at Rs 4.58 for buying and Rs 4.60 for selling. The buying and selling rates for one UAE dirham are Rs 41.99 and Rs 42.15, one Malaysian ringgit Rs 37.69 and Rs 37.84, and 100 South Korean won Rs 10.54 and Rs 10.59, respectively.

The buying and selling rates for one Swedish krona are Rs 15.86 and Rs 15.92, while one Danish krone is being traded at Rs 23.49 for buying and Rs 23.59 for selling.

Similarly, one Hong Kong dollar is valued at Rs 19.67 for buying and Rs 19.74 for selling. The buying and selling rates for one Kuwaiti dinar are Rs 501.01 and Rs 502.96, one Bahraini dinar Rs 408.99 and Rs 410.58, and one Omani rial Rs 400.53 and Rs 402.07, respectively.

The buying rate for Indian currency has been fixed at Rs 160 for INR 100, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15.

NRB said the exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that rates quoted by commercial banks may vary, and the latest official exchange rates are available on the central bank’s website.
