Dead body of trekker missing in Annapurna avalanche recovered



KASKI: Dead body of one out of seven trekkers including four South Korean nationals missing in the Annapurna region following an avalanche on January 17 has been recovered on Friday.

A rescue team of Nepal Army (NA) recovered the dead body of a guide 45-year-old Mem Bahadur Tamang hailing from Gangajamuna Rural Municipality in Dhading district.

Earlier on February 28, the dead body of guide Saroj Pariyar was retrieved.

A NA team along with a representative of Nepal Police had reached the incident site with a chopper this morning.

The dead body was handed over to the police and has been taken to Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences for postmortem.
