Sub-engineer arrested with Rs 40,500 bribe

KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested a sub-engineer red-handed with a bribe.

The anti-graft body arrested sub-engineer Nawalesh Kumar Rauniyar deployed at Madi Rural Municipality on Monday.

Rauniyar was nabbed while he had received Rs 40,500 kickback form a service seeker.

CIAA Spokesperson Pradeep Koirala said that further investigation was underway.
