Thamkharka and Khanidanda airports in Khotang to operate regular flights



KHOTANG: Thamkharka and Khanidand airports of Khotang district that had remained closed for over six months due to lockdown are operating regular flights from coming Saturday.

With the relaxation of the lockdown, the Nepal Airlines Corporation aircraft are operating regular flight services to and from Khanidanda and Thamkharka airports.

The NAC has already made public a work schedule to provide flight service from Khanidanda airport twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday and once a week from Thamkharka airport on Wednesday.

A passenger will have to pay Rs 4,740 as a one-way airfare for Khanidanda-Kathmandu, according to Khanidanda airport in-charge Nawaraj Katawal.

He said that the Khanidanda-Biratnagar flight which has been regular earlier would not operate for now.

It is also said that Rs 4,385 has been determined as a one-way airfare for Thamkharka-Kathmandu flight service.
