South Korea to take back its citizens from Nepal



KATHMANDU: Citing Nepal’s ‘lockdown’ in the international flight from Sunday, South Korea has started collecting its citizens stranded in Nepal.

According to Civil Aviation Authority(CAA) spokesperson Raj Kumar Kshetri, South Korea is sending a plane to Nepal to take its stranded citizens back.

There are more than 900 South Korean nationals in Nepal. According to Korean Embassy sources in Kathmandu, Korea will be taking its citizens once a week.

After the ban on international flights from Nepal, CAA has agreed to let South Korea take its citizens back in an aircraft provided that it boards at TIA sans passengers.

For the evacuation purpose, Korea is permitted one flight per week.
