KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast brief rain/ thundershowers at a few places of the hilly regions towards afternoon/late afternoon today.
In a weather bulletin issued for Sunday, the met office said that the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions and mainly fair in the rest of the country.
Meteorologist Shanti Kandel said it was likely that the Westerly low-pressure system that entered Nepal will remain for one or two days more, looking at its nature. It will take some more days for the weather to fully improve.
However, the weather activities would be changing in the coming days as there is a situation of pre-monsoon besides the new weather system in Nepal, Kandel added.
According to her, although the weather will look clear towards the morning, it will be cloudy with chances of brief rain with thunder towards the afternoon.
April and May are the pre-monsoon period in Nepal. The weather keeps on changing during this period.
