Landslide damages drinking water pipe in Baglung



BAGLUNG: Landslide in Baglung has damaged the pipe supplying drinking water to Baglung bazaar.

The drinking water pipes were swept away at the origin of Bhudikhola, Dobillo and Resam disrupting the drinking water supply.

Baglung bazaar has faced acute shortage of drinking water for two days.

Himal Sharma, Manager at Baglung Municipal Water and Sanitation Consumers’ Association said they had no alternative after the pipe was damaged by the landslide.

Although the technicians were mobilized to repair and replace the pipes, the incessant rainfall hampered the work.
