Normal life hit as Mustang witnesses snowfall

MUSTANG:  Mustang district has witnessed snowfall due to sudden change in the weather system caused by westerly wind.

According to District Police Office, Mustang, around a one-foot snow occurred in the district headquarters and in some other areas of the district.

All the areas above Thasang rural municipality witnessed snowfall due to the change in weather system since the past few days.

According to Chief District Officer Bed Prasad Aryal, one and a half-foot snow occurred at Muktinath area on Friday.

The road along the Kaligandaki bank has been affected while flights to and from Jomsom were halted yesterday.

Meanwhile, the temperature has also plummeted to 5 degree Celsius in Jomsom, said CDO Aryal.

Similarly, Beni-Jomosom-Korala road section has been disrupted due to the snowfall.
