Youth dies in a gang fight in Dhading



DHADING: A youth was killed in a gang fight between two groups in Dhading on Wednesday, police have said.

The deceased has been identified as Santa Kumar Tamang, 25, of Khaniyabaas-4 of Dhading district. Police said Santa was a murder convict and had already completed his sentence.

Another seriously injured, Rabin Tamang, has been brought to Kathmandu and is undergoing treatment at Tokha-based Grande Hospital, police said.

The clash between the two groups ensued following an argument with the referee of a football match organized by a local Gurans Youth Club at Darkha of the district on Tuesday.

Police have taken football referee Roshan Tamang, and his younger brother Ram Tamang into custody.

Eye witnesses said the youths used iron rods in the fight.
