Rural municipality office set ablaze in Baitadi



BAITADI: An unidentified group set ablaze the contact office of Dilashaini rural municipality in the Baitadi district.

The administrative section of the contact office in rural municipality-3, Pansera was set on fire early this morning.

A Scorpio van — Ma 1 Cha 488 — of the rural municipality was also set on fire.

The rural municipality had rented the Scorpio van of CPN district chair Surendra Pal.

Likewise, a pressure cooker bomb was also found in front of the gate of CPN chair Pal’s house at rural municipality-3, Pansero.

Pal’s JCV bearing registration number Se 1 Cha 459 was also set on fire.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Dilli Narayan Pandey said that police were investigating the issue. He added that they are yet to find out who carried out the incident of arson and bomb detonation.
