NC Central Working Committee meeting discussing House dissolution

KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of its Central Working Committee at the party’s headquarters in Sanepa to form an institutional view on the recent political developments.

The main agenda of the meeting is to decide the strategic approach against the unconstitutional move to dissolve the House of Representatives by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The meeting will focus on the constitutional crisis that has arisen after President Bidya Devi Bhandari approved the cabinet’s recommendation to dissolve the parliament on Sunday.

A meeting of the three parties held at Sanepa on Monday evening had decided to form a party-wise stand against Oli’s move from their respective Central Committee meetings.

After that, the three parties will meet again and discuss the issue of filing a collective writ at the Supreme Court against the dissolution of the House of Representatives and going for protest with a common program.
