Lidi landslide: 32 bodies retrieved, 7 still missing



SINDHUPALCHOWK: The number of deaths in the Lidi village landslide in Jugal rural municipality has reached 32 as Saturday morning.

The number has reached 32 after the bodies of Sano Kanchhi Dong,35, and his four-year-old daughter were recovered today, said Police Inspector Hari Bhattarai of Area Police Office, Jalbire.

A joint rescue team from Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force has been searching the missing people.

As many as 37 houses were washed away and 39 people went missing in the Lidi landslide that occurred in the morning of August 14.
