Govt direction to observe Civil Service Day maintaining health safety



KATHMANDU: The federal, State and local levels have been directed to observe the coming Civil Service Day by maintaining adequate health safety.

The meeting held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary Lokdarshan Regmi urged the government employees to compulsorily maintain lockdown rules and adopt health safety.

For the announcement of the employees getting the civil service award, a notice would be issued 15 days before the Day. It will also be published on the website of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

The Civil Service Day is being marked every year on Bhadra 22 since 2061 BS.

On the occasion of the Day, Gorkhapatra daily will be asked to publish special edition on civil service.

Even the necessary audiovisual materials on the civil service would be prepared and made publicity via Radio Nepal and Nepal Television.

Talk program on the Day would be held on television. Ministry of Communications and Information Technology would be assigned to arrange the publicity.

Moreover, the trade unions and organizations of the civil servants would be requested to organize creative programs like essay competition by maintaining health standards in the wake of increasing threat of coronavirus.

An 11-member subcommittee has also been formed under the coordination of Secretary of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Surya Prasad Gautam, for the coordination of the programs to be organized on the Day.
