Five bodies found in Chitwan rivers



CHITWAN: Five bodies were found in two rivers of Chitwan on Wednesday.

District Police Office, Chitwan said four bodies were found in Narayani river and one in Rapti river.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Surya Bahadur Thapa, the bodies of two unidentified persons of around 11-year-old girl and 55-year-old man were found at Thimura of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1.

Both the bodies were found in a decayed condition.

Likewise, the body of Karna Bahadur Sunar, 40, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-16, was found at Jhanjhane of ward no 16.

He had gone missing since Tuesday.

Similarly, a body of a woman, around 50 years of age, was found at the bank of Narayani river at Gaidachowk while a body of around 50-year-old man was found, which was swept away by Budhi Rapti river at Khairahani municipality, Thapa said.

The bodies have been brought to Bharatpur Hospital for postmortem.
