Landslide in Syangja leaves mother dead, daughter injured



SYANGJA: The landslide triggered by incessant rainfall has claimed the life of a 52-year-old woman in Syangja on Wednesday.

According to District Police Office Syangja, Maya Saru of Galyang-10 Gaunswara lost her life when a landslide swept her along with her house.

Her 20-year-old daughter, Narayani Saru,  has been injured in the incident. The injured daughter has been rushed to Pokhara based Model Hospital for treatment, police said.

The mother and her daughter were the only people living in the house when the landslide damaged their house.
