Ex-Minister Baskota tarnished country’s image: Biplav



KATHMANDU: The outlawed Netra Bikram Chand alias Biplav outfit has remarked that former Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Baskota tarnished the country’s image.

Issuing a statement after an audio of ex-Minister Baskota bargaining for Rs 700 million in bribe over the procurement of security printing press for the government leaked, the outfit accused the government of trying to put a cover over the scandal.

“The real follower of PM KP Oli made the country ashamed by demanding bribe over an issue related to security sensitivity of the country,” reads the statement.
